Oak View Group
When two icons in the Sports and Entertainment industry partner up, expectations are high. Tim Leiweke and Irving Azoff launched Oak View Group (OVG) to be a positive disruption to business as usual. No one has built more stadiums and arenas worldwide than Tim nor has anyone managed bigger stars in the music business than Irving.
Despite previous success, they were launching a new brand with even bigger aspirations and this time it was personal. We helped Tim and his parent company build their strategy and "front door" to their family of companies on a platform that can expand as they grow.
Believe me when I say, game-changing developments are coming in the Entertainment industry. We can't wait to see it all unfold.
Named one of the most Innovative People in Experiential Marketing in 2015, Daniel Griffis left his role as VP of Marketing at Target and launched his new company, Narrative Partners. To give a nod to Dan's legacy, we embedded a looping video of the 2014 MLB All-Star game at Target Field, one of his career highlights in the world of Sponsorship.
Our team collaborated closely with Dan to build the brand strategy, design and website. Since his business is ever-evolving and growing, we reflected his deep experience while inviting business prospects to learn more. Ultimately, we used a "less is more" approach.
For the 2014 Back-to-College campaign, we created the world’s first dorm design reality show, Best Year Ever.
We discovered there was little inspiration available to help college students style their dorm rooms. Our strategy was to show students that Target "gets" them and is a go-to-place to shop before their frenzied first day on campus.
To find them in their endemic environments, we partnered with Buzzfeed, Spotify and Funny or Die. Our goal was to create sincere, compelling content that was not only entertaining, but helpful and easy to share. It was important we featured only real students and storylines, and that all Back-to-College products (1,000 SKU's) were readily available at Target.com and Target stores.
We developed a show template and produced four different archetypal story lines and "how to" videos each featuring a college student(s), a style guru (Veronica Valencia) from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and a different YouTube Influencer (1MM+ subscribers): a Gamer (IHasCupQuake), an Entertainer (Todrick Hall), a Comedian (Mikey Boltz) and a Fashionista (AnneOrShine).
We filmed on five college campuses, for 30+ days and created over 30 videos totaling 2 hours of amazing content. To date, the content has over 11MM views on YouTube.
The sales results exceeded expectations too: +83% Target.com; +2.0% Home category; 1.2% category and we eclipsed our target with $4.6B in sales in 10 weeks.
Our Back-to-College work was awarded Best Branding and Recognition metrics of all Target campaigns in 2014 and received top honors from Chief Marketing Officer, Jeff Jones.
It truly was our #BestYearEver!

Bullseye University was the world’s first live-streaming, 96 hour shoppable event.
Part branded content, part digital platform, part experiential event, #BullseyeU was filled with five YouTube influencers, 96 straight hours of programming, and hundreds of Target back to college products.
It all happened real time and it was all interactive; it was a living catalog of college life.

As an extension of the 2012 Fall Fashion campaign, we created Target's first shoppable short film, Falling for You.
Viewers could, for the first time ever, shop and share product seen in each episode without interrupting the film.
The romantic comedy starred Kristin Bell (Veronica Mars, Saving Sarah Marshall), Nia Long ("Fresh Prince of Bel-aire", "Big Mama's House") and Zachary Abel ("Make it or Break it") and was directed by Phil Abraham ("Madmen").
The final episode premiered at a live-streamed, red carpet event in New York City.

Target's "Falling for You" Final Episode Live Performance RECAP
Fischer was an award-winning content production company that grew up in the digital age. From humble beginnings in non-linear editing (1991) at the peak of Television commercials through the arrival of social media, it was an island of creative misfits who broke new ground artistically and technologically for big brands, companies and ad agencies.
From iconic TV spots for Target, Porsche, Harley Davidson to skate webisodes for Shaun White to music vids for punk-pop bands like Motion City Soundtrack, we saw how artists and brands can not only co-exist, but they can thrive. As technology and social media changed, so did our storytelling, our marketing and our vision.
During my tenure, we tripled the net new revenue and doubled the size of the company, while launching a new division, moving into a new facility and shifting our core business, all while staying ahead of advancing technology.
Fischer had a special "artist-first" culture and was a wonderful place to cut my strategy, marketing and creative teeth.
